Roger Wright has over 25 years experience in the construction industry, after completing university and graduating with a BSc (hons) degree he returned to Great Bentley and joined his family's construction business, having gained a wealth of knowledge not only in building design but also in practical construction he now brings this to every project we handle.
Andy Cameron joined Roger in 2006, having over 20 years experience in the construction industry both on site and in project management, he brings this practical approach to the production of plans and projects with the clients budget in mind.
Some of our recent projects include:
- Survey and architectural drawings for a
redecoration project at The Truman Building, these were produced for a tender
document to aid the pricing process.
- Timbers - a roof conversion to expand the
living area, from the original concept following on with design and planning
permission/building regulations and project management.
- Rear single story extension - the remit was
to design an extension with a glazed front and a budget in mind, this needed
to be designed with u-values in mind to satisfy the building control
department.
- Killearnan - Attached double garage with
master bedroom above, the client required the new building to blend in with
the old, with this in mind we designed an extension that looked like it had
been part of the original Construction.
- Day Care Centre - We were asked to design a
day care centre for a plot of land within the existing grounds, this included
design, planning, building regulations and the production of a tender
document.
- Commercial - The remit was to design a small retail unit that would be in
keeping with a row of existing shops, this included the design, planning and
building regulations including the new
government sbem calculations.
- Timber Frame - An over garage timber frame
built to accommodate a new bedroom and en-suite, this included design,
planning, building regulations and project management.
- Renovation - We took over this project
after the client had become dissatisfied with their original architect, we
reproduced the working drawings with the clients budget in mind and prepared
them for the renovation works to be both priced and carried out.
- Bungalow Conversion - The client was very
happy with the location of there property but required more space, from the
outset we realised this would only be achieved by converting the bungalow into
a house, our design was then submitted for a planning application and
approval.
- Commercial - The Design consisted of 4- two
story flats over a renovated supermarket, following the local council's guide
lines and regulations and complying with the clients requirements this project
included an expanded retail and storage area, a series of two bed roomed flats
and a glass atrium over a portion of the retail area.

"Having a good experience of how projects are constructed is invaluable at the design stage".
